Report on Interactive Alumni Session by Mr. Sajin P Paul

The MCA Department of Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) organized an inspiring and highly engaging interactive alumni session for the first-year MCA students. The session was graced by esteemed alumnus Mr. Sajin P. Paul, from the  MCA Batch of 2010–2013, who is currently serving as a Manager at South Indian Bank. Marian College, Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) has always been proud of its accomplished alumni, and one such remarkable individual is Sajin P Paul, who graduated from the MCA program in the 2010–13 batch. Sajin has emerged as an  inspiring example of professional success and personal growth .

The objective of the session was to connect current students with a successful alumnus, enabling them to gain real-world insights into career building, professional challenges, and personal development. The session began with a warm introduction of Mr. Sajin P. Paul, acknowledging his academic journey at Marian College and his professional achievements in the banking sector. In a heartfelt narrative, he shared his memorable experiences from college life, reflecting on friendships, classroom learnings, and challenges that helped shape his career and personality.One of the most fascinating stories he shared was about how he got his first job. Sajin explained that he had accompanied a friend to a bank interview, simply to support him, without any intention of attending the interview himself. However, during the process, due to unforeseen circumstances and perhaps his own preparedness and confidence, he was unexpectedly offered the job instead. This story left a lasting impression on the students, highlighting how life can present surprising opportunities and how being ready to step in at the right moment can lead to unexpected success. Sajin’s journey began in the classrooms and corridors of Marian College, where he developed not only technical skills but also the confidence and discipline that would later shape his career. He fondly remembers his college days, describing a period filled with learning, exploration, and memorable experiences.He spoke about his transition from student life to the corporate world, emphasizing the importance of discipline, time management, continuous learning, and developing both technical and soft skills. He encouraged students to remain focused on their goals, stay curious, and foster self-confidence to face competitive environments. The session evolved into an interactive platform as students actively engaged in discussions, asking questions related to career opportunities in banking and IT sectors,industry expectations, and professional growth mindset. Mr. Sajin patiently addressed each query, providing practical advice, motivating anecdotes, and reassurance drawn from his own journey.The session concluded on an inspiring note, with Mr. Sajin advising students to utilize their time in college wisely, build strong foundations, and maintain consistency in their efforts. He highlighted that success is a journey shaped by perseverance, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

 The studentsexpressed their gratitude, feeling encouraged and motivated by the real-life success story of an alumnus who once sat in the same classroom. The interactive alumni session with Mr. Sajin P. Paul served as a powerful source of guidance, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional aspirations.
