The Inauguration & PTA Meet for the MCA Batch 2025-2027 was held on July 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the MAGIS Mini Auditorium. The event outlined a comprehensive schedule encompassing welcoming remarks, various presentations, significant speeches, and a vote of thanks, indicating a well-planned program for the new batch and their parents.

Key Highlights of the Schedule:

1. Welcome & Inaugural Proceedings:

• The event commenced with a Welcome Dance performed by Sonat, Sneha, Meghana Namitha, Riyana, and Adithya, setting a warm tone for the gathering.

• This was followed by an "MCA Vibes" Video Presentation, likely showcasing the department's essence and activities.

• The Prayer was led by Nisha and Anitta.

• Mr. Satheesh Kumar S, Assistant Professor and Class Teacher for the 2025-27 batch, delivered the Welcome Speech.

• The Inaugural Ceremony was marked by the traditional Lighting the Lamp.

2. Addresses and Speeches:

• Introductory Speech: Dr. Mendus Jacob, Director of the MCA Dept. and CEO of IPSR Solutions, provided an introduction.

• Manager's Address: V.Rev.Fr. Boby Alex Mannamplackal, Manager of MCKA and Vicar General, Kanjirapally Diocese, delivered the Manager's address.

• Words of Blessings: Rev. Fr. Thomas Abraham, Administrator of MCKA, offered words of blessings.

• Words of Encouragement: Dr. Joby Cyriac, Vice Principal of MCKA and IQAC Coordinator, provided words of encouragement to the new batch.

3. Departmental and Student Focus:

   • A Video Presentation on "Achievements 2024-26 Batch" was scheduled, likely highlighting the successes of the preceding batch.

   • A Dance Performance by Shibin Jose was also part of the program, adding a cultural element.

4. Important Information & Concluding Remarks:

   • Hostel Guidelines & PTA: Dr. Fr. Shaiju K.S, Vice Principal and Hostel Director & PTA Secretary, provided essential information regarding hostel guidelines and PTA involvement.

   • Placement Opportunities: Mr. Brijesh George John, Associate Professor and Chief Placement Officer, discussed the placement opportunities available to the students.

   • Vote of Thanks: The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Sr. Italia Joseph Maria, Assistant Professor, MCA Department.

Inauguration and First PTA meeting of MCA 2024-26 Batch

 The PG Department of Computer Applications hosted the inauguration and the first PTA meeting for the 2024-26 batch on 24 July 2024, titled "BOOT-UP TO EXCELLENCE." The event was meticulously planned and executed, reflecting the department's commitment to fostering a welcoming and informative environment for new students and their parents.

The event commenced with a vibrant welcome dance, setting a positive and energetic tone for the day. The performance was well-received and appreciated by all attendees.

Following the dance, a video presentation titled "MCA @ Marian" was showcased. This video highlighted the department's achievements, facilities, and the academic journey that awaited the new batch of students.

A prayer song was performed, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere. This was a moment for everyone to come together and seek blessings for the new academic year.

Dr. Mendus Jacob, the Director of MCA, provided a warm introduction and welcome address. He highlighted the significance of the event and extended a hearty welcome to the new students and their parents.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Ponganthanam, the Administrator, delivered the presidential address. His speech was inspiring and focused on the holistic development of the students, emphasizing the role of the institution in shaping their future.

Prof. Dr. Ajimon George, the Principal, addressed the gathering. His address covered the academic expectations, the institution's vision, and the various opportunities available to students at Marian College.

A fusion performance by II MCA  students, titled "Milestone Merriment," was performed. This entertaining segment showcased the talents of the senior students and was a celebration of the milestones achieved by the department.

The symbolic lighting of the candle took place at this time, representing the enlightenment and knowledge that the institution aims to impart to its students.

Rev. Fr. Ajo Pezhumkattil, the Deputy Administrator, provided important guidelines about the hostel facilities. His session was informative and addressed various aspects of hostel life, ensuring that the new students and their parents were well-informed.

Dr. Joby Cyriac, the Vice Principal, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the faculty, staff, students, and parents.
