Getting artistic on vegetables

As part of celebrating the 100 th  International  Womens Day,the women cell of Marian College organized a training session on Vegetable Carving for the students and staff of the college. The classes were taken by Mrs Shyla Mathew and Mr Mathew Kurian of  MMH department. The class started at 3.30 pm,45 students and teachers from different departments attended the session, Miss Nirmala George from MCA department,Mrs Juby George from BCA department and sister Caroline were also present in this session, some of the students from MCA were also there.
Within short time bitter melon was transformed into a  parrot, and then  onion, carrot, beetroot blossomed into flowers and finally an apple evolved into a duck.Students also got their chance to experiment with their imaginations.Decorating fresh ,well formed and colourful fruits and vegetables through artistic carving is by no means difficult, all it takes is enthusiasm and practice,we were told. One  can design as far as  her  imaginations get wild.
If such small creations brings such joy to the mind ,one can only wonder, how much joy the CREATOR  might have felt in making this universe and its beings.
