The "Gateway to Networking" workshop provided valuable insights into the basics of networking, its importance, and the challenges and trends in the field. The fundamental components of networking include Devices like Computers, servers, routers, switches, and various smart devices that form the network infrastructure.
Protocols are a set of rules and conventions that govern communication within the network. Common protocols include TCP/IP, HTTP, and SMTP. Topology is The physical or logical layout of network components, such as bus, star, ring, or mesh. Networking is the cornerstone of our digital age, enabling global communication, business growth, and technological advancements. To navigate this interconnected world, it is essential to grasp the principles of networking and adapt to its ever-evolving landscape.

The ICT Academy of Kerala organizes the International Conclave on Skills, Engineering, and Technology (ICSET) annually, which serves as a forum for academia and industry. The ICSET brings together renowned leaders and experts from various fields, such as science, technology, business, government, and social development, to deliberate and exchange ideas on a specific technological theme. The Adlux International Convention Center, Angamaly will host ICSET 2023 on 19th September 2023.

Scrum and Kanban Boards: Jira Software supports agile methodologies, offering Scrum and Kanban boards for project planning and task management. Scrum boards help manage sprints and backlog, while Kanban boards visually represent work in progress. Jira Software supports Scrum and Kanban methodologies, offering specialized boards for each. Scrum boards facilitate sprint planning, user stories, and burndown charts. Kanban boards provide visual task management with customizable workflows. Jira's flexibility and integrations make it a versatile choice for agile teams.
Customization: Jira can be customized to fit the specific needs of a team or project. You can create custom issue types, fields, and workflows to match your processes.
Integration: Jira integrates with a wide range of third-party tools and services, including version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and chat and collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Activity:

The Domain Expertise Workshop held at II MCA on September 26, 2023, featured alumni speakers Mr. Tijo Antony and Mr. Amal Raj, who shared insights into the international banking industry and career opportunities within it. Mr. Antony, a Regulatory Reporting Specialist at UBS and Mr. Raj, a Senior DevOps Engineer at Deutsche Bank, discussed systemically important banks, investment banking functions, divisions, and career prospects. They emphasized the skills required for success in the industry and offered guidance on preparation for investment banking professions. The informative session left participants with a better understanding of this sector and the steps to enter it, making it a valuable event for aspiring finance professionals.






Outcome:

We got a clear idea about investment banking from the resource person who is well expertised in this sector.
