Annual Academic Planning Meeting 

The Annual Academic Planning Meeting of the PG Department of Computer Application was conducted on the 29th and 30th of April at Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous). The meeting focused on academic planning, faculty development, curriculum strategies, and institutional initiatives for the forthcoming academic year.

Day 1 Highlights (29th April)

• The meeting was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Thomas, Administrator of Marian College. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the vital role of teachers in nurturing students and contributing to institutional growth.

• A session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) was conducted by Dr. Mendus Jacob, who highlighted the significance of designing course outcomes, aligning assessments, and ensuring measurable student achievements.

• Discussions were held on the implementation of higher-level academic assignments to enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and academic rigor.

• The faculty deliberated on the Institutional Development Plan (IDP), a strategic document required for institutional enhancement. Responsibilities related to the preparation and execution of the IDP were allocated among faculty members.

Day 2 Highlights (30th April)

• A detailed syllabus review and discussion was carried out, focusing on course planning, content alignment, and assessment strategies for the upcoming semester.

• Planning for the International Conference was initiated.

  • Dr. Sr. Italia Joseph Maria led the discussion on publication guidelines and academic contributions.

  • Mr. Satheesh and Mr. Robins were appointed as conference coordinators.

• Arrangements for the upcoming IKAS Workshop were discussed. Mr. Satheesh was assigned as the workshop coordinator.

• A felicitation ceremony was held in honor of Dr. Sr. Italia Joseph Maria on the successful completion of her Ph.D. The department extended its warmest congratulations and appreciation for her academic achievement.
