 REPORT ON FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR MCA SECOND YEAR STUDENTS

On October 25, 2024, a farewell program for the second-year MCA students was held in Magis Hall, organized by the first-year MCA students. This heartfelt event was dedicated to celebrating the journey and achievements of the graduating students.



The event was also attended by MCA faculty members, Kochumol Abraham, Sister Italiya Mariya Jose, Satheesh Kumar, Renny Jose, and Robins Katoor, along with our HOD, Win Mathew. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion.



Kochumol Abraham, the class teacher, shared her experiences and fond memories with the graduating students, emphasizing the bonds formed during their time together. She also presented awards to some students, recognizing their outstanding contributions.



The program featured several engaging performances, including a lively dance and a song by the first-year students, which added a festive atmosphere to the occasion. In addition, various games were organized for the second-year students, promoting fun and interaction among everyone present.





To conclude the program, refreshments were served, allowing everyone to mingle and celebrate the memories created during their time in the MCA program. Overall, the farewell was a memorable event, leaving lasting impressions on both the graduating students and their first-year peers.

REPORT ON VOICE & IMPACT : SHARPENING COMMUNICATION SKILLS

On October 21, 2024, Krishnaraj S conducted a workshop titled "Voice & Impact: Sharpening Communication Skills." The session focused on enhancing communication abilities through interactive tasks and discussions. Krishnaraj highlighted the importance of effective communication in personal and professional settings, engaging students in activities designed to foster teamwork and improve their skills.



The workshop included several engaging activities designed to enhance communication skills. The first was the Clock Task, where participants drew a clock with 12 hours, each hour representing a question. They had to find classmates who could answer these questions, promoting interaction while adhering to rules about signatures.



Next, in the Survival Presentation, students worked in groups of seven to devise strategies for surviving a hypothetical plane crash in the Amazon rainforest. This activity encouraged teamwork and critical thinking as they presented their ideas.

Finally, students participated in structured group discussions in groups of four, focusing on different topics. Each member contributed by discussing a specific aspect, which helped improve public speaking skills and fostered respectful dialogue among peers.



The workshop offered students a valuable opportunity to enhance their communication skills through practical exercises. Its interactive activities fostered an engaging learning environment for practicing both verbal and nonverbal communication. Participants appreciated the hands-on approach and insights from Krishnaraj S. Overall, the session highlighted the importance of communication skills for academic and professional success.
