Invitation for Research Papers to Acumen-Commerce and Management
I look forward to contribution of research papers/articles from you and your institutions/ organization for our Research Journal. The research papers will be subjected to a peer review process by an esteemed panel. All papers, in the prescribed format must reach the college on or before 15th September 2010.Those who are interested in getting a PDF copy of the previous issue of the journal may sent a mail to the editor.

We are thankful to Mr. Vibin Varghese of 2001-04 batch who took pain to meet the current batches here in Marian. This program was conducted on 13th Aug Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am as part of Industry-interface program. He informally interacted with the students, which motivated them. He discussed the various opportunities in the industry and the challenges that are to be faced.

Hearty welcome to our dear JUNIORS........
On 4th august came the tenth batch of the Marian mca. they were given a warm welcome by the seniors. the batch consists of 45 gals and 16 boys(hmm ghosh should have been in that class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) The ceremony started off with a visual treat for the audience ==>> a welcome dance ==>>the prayer song and ==>>the knowledge sharing of the honorable dignitaries. The star attraction of the whole program was the candle lighting ceremony which was the first of its kind among the PG departments of the college. Any ways the program was a huge success and received tremendous appreciation from the management side and the parents.
Thank god for making this event a grand success.
A word of advice to our juniors
"KEEP THE MARIAN MCA LEGACY INTACT"

The Legendary Lungi !!!
Just as the national bird of Kerala is Mosquito, her national dress is Lungi. Pronounced as Lu as in loo and ngi as in mongey, a lungi can be identified by its floral or window-curtain pattern. Mundu is the white variation of lungi and is worn on special occasions like hartal or bandh days, weddings and Onam.
Lungi is simple and down to earth like the mallu wearing it. Lungi is the beginning and the end of evolution in its category. Wearing something on the top half of your body is optional when you are wearing a lungi. Lungi is a strategic dress. Its like a one-size-fits- all bottoms for Keralites.The technique of wearing a lungi/mundu is passed on from generation to generation through word of mouth like the British Constitution. If you think it is an easy task wearing it, just try it once! It requires techniques like breath control and yoga that is a notch higher than sudarshan kriya of AOL. A lungi/mundu when perfectly worn wont come off even in a quake of 8 on the richter scale. A lungi is not attached to the waist using duct tape, staple, rope or velcro. Its a bit of mallu magic whose formula is a closely guarded secret like the Coca Cola chemicals.
