The PG Department of Computer Applications observed International Anti-Drug Day on 29 June 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the II MCA Classroom. The programme was conducted in accordance with the circular and the approved pledge issued by the District Social Justice Office, Idukki, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to lead a healthy, responsible, and drug-free life.
All the students actively participated in the Anti-Drug Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to staying away from drugs and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The pledge was administered as per the approved format provided by the District Social Justice Office, Idukki.
As part of the awareness programme, the II MCA students presented a short awareness video based on the theme "Choose Sports, Not Drugs." The video effectively conveyed the message that engaging in sports, physical activities, and positive hobbies can help young people avoid substance abuse and develop a disciplined and healthy lifestyle. The creative presentation received appreciation from the participants for its meaningful message and impactful visual storytelling.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from the students to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to contribute towards building a drug-free society.
