Anti-Ragging Awareness Seminar Conducted at Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous

 Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous, in association with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Idukki, organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Seminar on 17 June 2026 in hybrid mode at the MIM Conference Hall and through YouTube Live. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the legal, social, and psychological consequences of ragging and promoting a safe and inclusive campus environment.



The seminar was graced by Mr. Saju Varghese, DySP, Peermade, as the Chief Guest. In his insightful address, he emphasized the importance of maintaining mutual respect, empathy, and discipline within educational institutions. He elaborated on the provisions of anti-ragging laws, the penalties associated with ragging, and the responsibility of students in fostering a culture of dignity and harmony on campus.



The session also highlighted the role of students, faculty members, and educational institutions in preventing ragging and ensuring a supportive atmosphere for newcomers. Participants were encouraged to report incidents without fear and actively contribute to building a ragging-free academic community.



The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, reinforcing Marian College's commitment to nurturing a secure, respectful, and student-friendly learning environment.
