Twentieth Board of Studies Meeting Held
The PG Department of Computer Applications, Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous, conducted the Twentieth Board of Studies Meeting on 19 May 2026 in blended mode. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Mendus Jacob and attended by academic experts, industry representatives, alumni, and faculty members.
Key discussions focused on curriculum enhancement for MCA 2026, including the introduction of two new one-credit courses: Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS): Foundations for the AI Era and Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Applications. The Board also deliberated on interdisciplinary courses under FYUGP and MAAP 2026, proposing collaborations with the Departments of Physics, MBA, and MCMS.
External experts offered valuable suggestions on integrating Indian Knowledge Systems with research initiatives and incorporating AI-enabled life skill training. The meeting concluded with the approval of key curriculum initiatives aimed at enhancing academic quality, industry relevance, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
