Industrial visit

 REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT

Our industrial visit to Invisor at Infopark, Kakkanad, was an enriching experience. The technical team provided valuable insights into software development through a one-hour session, followed by an interactive Q&A segment.








Mr. Navab Rajan commenced the session with an introduction, followed by Mr. Sanoop KS, the lead of their technical team, who emphasized the importance of reading books and working on projects. He then discussed their ongoing projects in detail.








The first project, Fintalent, is a job-oriented platform for finance professionals with three portals: Candidate Portal (sign up, add profiles, update experience), Recruiter Portal (filter candidates, manage hiring), and Admin Portal (oversee platform operations). Technologies used include React (Frontend), Node.js (Database), VS Code, Notepad, Cursor, and Figma (UI design).








The second project, Engage, is an e-learning platform with Candidate Portal (enroll in courses, access learning materials, take exams) and Admin Portal (manage courses, content, PDFs, text files). Technologies used include MySQL (Database), Adobe Illustrator, Figma (Design), VS Code, and CodeIgniter (Development).








The session concluded with an engaging Q&A. After the industry visit, we visited Lulu Mall, Edappally, for leisure and later spent the evening at Vypin Beach. The trip ended as we departed at 6 PM and reached college by 11 PM.

Overall, this industrial visit was highly informative and provided practical knowledge of software development and industry trends.

These platforms provide different roles, including data annotation, AI training assistance, and other freelance-based projects.



Jonah shared his personal experiences working on these platforms, explaining the methods he used to secure and complete projects. He provided practical tips on how to effectively navigate these job portals, build a strong profile, and maximize earnings while balancing studies or other commitments.

The session was highly informative and beneficial for students looking to explore flexible job opportunities in the AI and tech space. It concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students clarified doubts and gained further insights into part-time work in the digital era.

The first day of the National-level Workshop on Research Methodology and Applications of Generative AI, organized by the PG Department of Computer Applications, Marian College Kuttikkanam, was held on 14th February 2025 at the Marian Institute of Management Conference Hall.








Sessions Overview

The day began with participant registration, followed by an inaugural session where distinguished guests emphasized the significance of research methodology and AI in research.

In the morning session, expert speakers discussed research methodology, manuscript preparation, and research gap identification using the Vigyana software framework. A short snack break was provided before continuing discussions on structuring research methodologies and proposals.








At noon, lunch was served, allowing participants to network. The afternoon session, held in the computer lab, provided hands-on training on Vigyana, guiding participants through research execution from literature review to manuscript preparation.










The day concluded with a Q&A session, reinforcing key insights. Day 1 was highly informative, equipping participants with essential research skills and AI applications.

Lab Session

Lunch was provided at noon, ensuring participants had a refreshing break. The session continued until 3:45 PM, after which feedback forms were distributed to collect participant opinions on the workshop experience.







Conclusion and Certification

At the end of the session, duty certificates were issued to attendees as recognition of their participation. With this, the two-day workshop successfully concluded, leaving participants with valuable insights and skills in research methodology and AI applications.

Report on "Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025"


"Pariksha Pe Charcha" (PPC) is an annual interactive program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he engages with students, teachers, and parents to discuss exam-related stress, time management, and overall well-being. The 2025 edition introduced a more interactive and engaging format to help students approach exams with a positive mindset.

the Students PG Department participated in the online session where the Hon'ble Prime Minister was interacting with students in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 on 10th February, 2025 at 11:00 am.








Key Highlights of PPC 2025:The event commenced on February 10, 2025, in New Delhi’s Sunder Nursery, where PM Modi interacted with 36 students on topics like stress management, leadership, and holistic development.
The program featured multiple episodes with prominent personalities sharing their experiences and insights.





Notable Sessions:Mental Health & Motivation:Deepika Padukone spoke about mental well-being and self-care.
Spiritual guru Sadhguru guided students on stress management and mindfulness.
Success & Hard Work:Athletes like MC Mary Kom and Avani Lekhara shared their experiences on goal-setting and perseverance.
Creativity & Positive Thinking:Actors Vikrant Massey and Bhumi Pednekar discussed the importance of creativity and a positive approach in learning.
Healthy Lifestyle:Nutritionists provided advice on balanced diets and sleep schedules to enhance focus and performance.

Ethnic Day was joyfully celebrated at Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) with vibrant performances and enthusiastic participation from students. Each department was assigned a specific Indian state, and students dressed in traditional attire representing their respective states. The event showcased the rich diversity of Indian culture through various performances, making it an engaging and colorful celebration.






    


The MCA department was allotted Haryana, and students showcased the culture and heritage of the state through a captivating fashion show. Their dedication and effort in presenting Haryana’s traditional attire and cultural elements were commendable. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about different traditions and embrace the spirit of unity in diversity.

The experience was truly remarkable, as it provided an opportunity to embrace diversity and celebrate tradition. The encouragement and appreciation from friends and teachers added to the excitement of the event, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

The session conducted by Dr. Brijesh George John focused on enhancing students' presentation skills through an interactive and engaging method. Students were divided into groups, where they presented their topics within their respective groups. Each student was responsible for evaluating their peers' presentations by assigning marks based on performance.



The scores were then averaged to determine the top performer, who was promoted to the next stage. The remaining students were reorganized into new groups, and the process continued. This iterative method ensured continuous improvement and active participation from all students.



In addition to the structured presentation activity, Dr. Brijesh provided mentoring and support to help students refine their public speaking skills, boost confidence, and improve overall communication. His guidance played a crucial role in making the session both educational and motivational.

A cloud computing session was conducted on 23rd January 2025, led by Mr. Szen John P, a Red Hat Certified Instructor and Technical Leader specializing in Cloud and DevOps Training. The session, held via Google Meet, was attended by students in the classroom.


Mr. Szen began by explaining the theoretical basics of cloud computing, ensuring that everyone had a solid foundation to build upon. His explanations were clear and easy to follow, making the session engaging and informative.

He then transitioned into teaching about AWS (Amazon Web Services), where he elaborated on its services, features, and applications in the industry. The session effectively combined theoretical concepts with practical insights, helping students understand the relevance of cloud computing and AWS in modern technology.
