Inauguration and First PTA meeting of MCA 2024-26 Batch

 The PG Department of Computer Applications hosted the inauguration and the first PTA meeting for the 2024-26 batch on 24 July 2024, titled "BOOT-UP TO EXCELLENCE." The event was meticulously planned and executed, reflecting the department's commitment to fostering a welcoming and informative environment for new students and their parents.



The event commenced with a vibrant welcome dance, setting a positive and energetic tone for the day. The performance was well-received and appreciated by all attendees.

Following the dance, a video presentation titled "MCA @ Marian" was showcased. This video highlighted the department's achievements, facilities, and the academic journey that awaited the new batch of students.

A prayer song was performed, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere. This was a moment for everyone to come together and seek blessings for the new academic year.

Dr. Mendus Jacob, the Director of MCA, provided a warm introduction and welcome address. He highlighted the significance of the event and extended a hearty welcome to the new students and their parents.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Ponganthanam, the Administrator, delivered the presidential address. His speech was inspiring and focused on the holistic development of the students, emphasizing the role of the institution in shaping their future.



Prof. Dr. Ajimon George, the Principal, addressed the gathering. His address covered the academic expectations, the institution's vision, and the various opportunities available to students at Marian College.

A fusion performance by II MCA  students, titled "Milestone Merriment," was performed. This entertaining segment showcased the talents of the senior students and was a celebration of the milestones achieved by the department.

The symbolic lighting of the candle took place at this time, representing the enlightenment and knowledge that the institution aims to impart to its students.

Rev. Fr. Ajo Pezhumkattil, the Deputy Administrator, provided important guidelines about the hostel facilities. His session was informative and addressed various aspects of hostel life, ensuring that the new students and their parents were well-informed.

Dr. Joby Cyriac, the Vice Principal, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the faculty, staff, students, and parents.

The event concluded successfully, leaving a positive impression on the attendees and setting a promising start for the new batch of MCA students. The seamless execution of the schedule and the engaging content of each segment highlighted the department's dedication to excellence in education and community building.
